Frequently asked questions about ceremonies:
What types of ceremonies do you offer?
- Weddings
- Vow Renewals
- Commitment Ceremonies
What if I want a non-traditional ceremony?
Ceremonies can be customized to your beliefs and wishes to make them uniquely personal and meaningful for you. Traditional or non-traditional, non-denominational or interfaith, spiritual or secular – together we will design and create a ceremony which fits you and your needs.

Why should I choose an Interfaith Minister for my ceremony?
At the heart of Interfaith and at the heart of all the world’s wisdom traditions is unconditional Love. Interfaith is not a new religion and does not advocate the blending of all religions into one. As an Interfaith Minister I seek to promote understanding, harmony, and love among all people.
The beauty of an Interfaith ceremony is that it may include the elements from different traditions which reflect your particular beliefs – those which speak to you and your partner as well as to your families. In addition, it may be held at the venue of your choice. Ultimately, an Interfaith ceremony has flexibility.
What are the fees for a typical ceremony?
Fees vary based upon your individual needs and desires as well as the complexity of your ceremony. Below are the typical packages I offer.

- Filing of marriage license
Deposit: A 50% non-refundable retainer is due at the time of service agreement signing. Your ceremony date is reserved when the retainer is received. Checks, money orders, cash, Visa, and MasterCard are accepted. The balance is due at least 72 hours before the date of your ceremony.
Additional Consultation Meetings: Additional consultation meetings past those included with a ceremony package may be scheduled at a rate of $75 per 50 minute session.
Rehearsal: My attending/conducting your rehearsal is an option you may request for the additional charge of $130 plus travel (see below). Please be sure to advise me well ahead of time so that I may schedule accordingly. Purchase a customized service and receive a $50 discount on the cost of a rehearsal.
Cancellation Policy: If the ceremony is canceled more than four (4) weeks before the scheduled ceremony date, the remaining balance (minus fees for services already performed) will not be charged. If the ceremony is canceled within four (4) weeks or less of the scheduled date, the balance of the fee will be due and payable as if the ceremony had occurred.
Travel and Accommodations: The first half-hour or 30 miles (whichever comes first) of travel from my office is included in the cost of the ceremony. Additional car travel cost is as follows: $15 per 15 minutes/15 miles (whichever comes first) or less beyond the first half hour, each way plus any parking fees. For out of town ceremonies, you are responsible for booking and prepaying for my airfare costs, hotel accommodations, meals/incidentals (per Diem rate can be arranged), and local transportation needs. If you are flying me in to perform a ceremony, I include attending/conducting the rehearsal at no additional charge.
Changes/Excessive Lateness: Because I book with many clients, changing a date, time, or location, without first clearing it with my calendar, or any excessive lateness (30 minutes or more) of the originally scheduled time for a meeting, rehearsal, and/or ceremony may create a scheduling conflict which prevents me from performing your requested service. This is the last thing I would ever want to happen! Please be sure to always clear wanted changes with me well in advance. I do charge a late fee of $50 per 15 minutes for any service beginning more than 15 minutes after the originally agreed upon start time. This must be paid in cash before the ceremony may begin. This helps insure that your guests are not kept waiting, that you are not charged additional fees by venues for going over the time allotted by them for your service, and that I am able to promptly meet timelines for any committments scheduled after yours.
Ceremony Supplies: Should you desire specific rituals which require candles, flowers, wine, etc., you are responsible for providing all necessary supplies and for their cost. This includes providing sound amplification equipment if needed.
Office Weddings: There is a maximum limit of six guests in addition to the bride and groom due to the size of the office.
Customized Rituals for Other Life Transitions: Fees would be similar to the above rates depending on the type, length, and complexity of the service/ritual.
